START YOUR ENGINES!!! The new GranMachina MHC season has started, and hopes are high in every paddock and garage. Back to defend both their Team and Driver's championships are KAB and Pitviper. But this time around things are going to be even tougher. Not only do they have the fierce and relentless competition from returning marquees such as Pothole, Heydu, and Too Cold, but a driver by the name of IcemanGT has joined the ranks. Regarded by many as the best console driver in the world, Iceman has experienced the wonderful view from the top of the final podium at all 3 famous GTXR series seasons. The competition that he will bring will be heavy to say the least. The fact that this series is attracting such talent is making series organizer's very happy indeed. The season opens with a 5 lap enduro at Red Rock Valley Speedway, and 9 more events -which will include sprints, rally, drag, and endurance- stand between the best and the coveted Millenium Hybrid Title. RULES, REGS, POINTS, etc.
GENERAL RULES (all classes)
Any part off any car is legal
Car bodies are determined by individual race rules.
All Drivetrains are legal.
Spring rates must be kept above 5.0
No time-stop, nitrous, traction, joker, machine gun, smoke screen, oil slick,...(sorry, spy hunter moment) or in race codes of any kind. Any racer found to be using these types of codes will have all of the funds automatically depleted from their accounts (to be divided among all the "fair" racers), then will be hunted down by the CIA, who will pull the cheater's eyelids off, pump them full of sleeping pills, and then after three days, use an argon laser to reduce the infractor to a quivering mass of dishonest organic goo. And then worst of all, the racer will be disqualified from the infracted race and lose all points recieved from the finish, plus the same amount taken from their accumulated season total.
TIME PENALTY will be added to the top three finishers of each race. The penalty will be the difference between the racer’s time and the time of the 4th place finisher’s time.
TIME SUBTRACTION ASSIST: Also, the amounts of time added to the top three finishers will be subtracted from the bottom three finishers. The time amount enforced upon the first place racer will be subtracted from the last place finisher, the time enforced upon the second place finisher will be subtracted from the next to last finisher, and so on for the third place finisher. Note that racers who record a DNF for a particular race do NOT qualify for the time subtraction assist for the next race.
PENALTY NOTES: The penalty will only be enforced for that racer's next race.
TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP:
Team times will be the averaged time between all of it's members. the Teams will then receive points for how their averages match up against the other Teams'.
CLASS CHAMPIONSHIPS:
Each class will have it’s own championship in addition to the overall title. Drivers ARE allowed to compete in both classes, however, only the driver’s fastest time will included for the overall finish. The finishing time for the other class that the driver submitted for will be included in the finishing order for that particular class.
CLASS SPECIFIC RULES:
GT900:
2001 HP max/2001 lbs. min.
EITHER DF OR TCS may be sharked in to max setting. the other must be changed at the settings screen.
All other settings must be changed at the settings screen.
GT450:
1001 HP max/1001 lbs. min.
BOTH DF OR TCS may be sharked in to max setting. the other must be changed at the settings screen.
All other settings must be changed at the settings screen.
TIME SUBMISSIONS
"Race week" will begin on Sunday.
Qualifying times due before the Wednesday at midnight (EST). qualifying is just posting your times mid-week to give everybody a look at where everybody else is. post qualifying times in this forum.
Race times will be due on the Saturday before midnight (EST) Race times are to be submitted by using the private message function on this board or if that isn’t possible, then via instructions on the "Time Submission" page at the GranMachina website.
CONDUCT
I'm not going to be too finicky about the whole "corner cutting/wall riding" issue. Especially when we are running this kind of power. just get from start to finish.
Be honest. i know i probably don't have to say this. Anybody who is lying about their times to receive the glory of a video game racing series championship is a pathetic low-self esteemed wuss. (so much for being professional there!) We are here to have fun. winning is a by product.
